In about two sentences - what do you do?
I work together with clients to help them focus on the most important aspects of their business.
And in your work: what are you most proud of?
When I see that people or companies grow (in the broadest sense of the word) as a result of our support, input and advice. Growth through focus.
What do you think about pineapple on pizza?
If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
That people are given equal chances. So that everyone gets equal chances, which they then have to take. I don’t want people to simply receive everything in equal amounts, but that everybody gets an equal opportunity to just be happy.
Who was your childhood idol? Are you (almost) there?
I didn’t really have an idol. I did always want a red Porsche 365 cabriolet. James Dean drove one of those. An true Porsche oldtimer. I bought one in 1996. Then I sold it again in 2000, because it really didn’t drive well at all.
When I was little, I thought Batman was really cool. Mostly because he had a really cool car. It was the Batmobile, and it had fire coming out of it and an ejecting chair. That’s actually better than the Porsche.
So I bought the Porsche when I was 36 (right before my mid-life crisis). Now, I drive two very old cars and I find it all less important than I used to. It’s just not necessary. If a nice car comes up and it happens, I might buy one. And otherwise I don’t. But right now I’d rather spend the money on holidays with friends or family.
It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I need some inspiration. What is your idea of an ideal or most romantic date?
A hot air balloon trip over the Sossusvlei in Namibia. Then land somewhere and have a copious lunch. Yeah that would involve the required alcoholic refreshments, but definitely not in some café or bar in the city. Not for something like this.
