In about two sentences - what do you do?
On the one hand I’m a concept-designer. So I come up with concepts for clients within house styles, within corporate identities, to realize marketing-like concepts. On the other hand I am an identity strategist, which is where you can find the link with 23plusone. So, I find out the identity behind corporations and have their visual identity follow from that. Conceptthinker, art director and identity strategist.

And in your work: what are you most proud of? 
An entrepreneur comes to us. He can be a 3rd or a 4th generation entrepreneur or only just started. They all have their own appearance. What makes me proud is the fact that we get our hands on these enterprises and and turn it into a real brand that is ready for the future. We’ve done that for local organisations. With those, I’m really proud of the fact that we really help them arrive at a destination. What I’m proud of in larger corporations is the fact that we’re more of a support to the marketing department. That way, our activities are more focussed on execution and implementation, but because of the size of the organisation you do get to see the impact of your work around a lot more.

What do you think about pineapple on pizza?
There’s no accounting for taste.      

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be? 
The hearts of people. That they be kinder and sweeter and think about others more.

Who was your childhood idol? Are you (almost) there?
My grandfather. He was a sundering and travelled the world. He came back with stories of blind people seeing again and deaf people hearing again and my grandfather doesn’t lie. So he heals people and he loves people. 

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I need some inspiration. What is your idea of an ideal or most romantic date? 
Just the opportunity to spend time alone at home with my wife.
