Ricardo Bravenhoeve

In about two sentences, what else do you do?
I’m mostly into brand design.

And in your work: what are you most proud of?
I am most proud of the fact that usually I manage to touch people with my brands. So, for my clients: I see that something actually changes. This is not just about the end-result. When designing a brand, going through the process of 23plusone, you can see that - at some point - it evokes a feeling of ‘Woah! Cool!’ with the client.

What do you think about pineapple on pizza?
An insult to pizza.

If you could change one thing about the world, what would it be?
For everyone to believe in themselves.

Who was your childhood idol? Are you (almost) there?
Hein Vergeer. He’s an ice skater. I used to skate a lot and that was my idol. So not a rockstar but an ice skater.

To be honest, I do think I’ve gotten quite close to that image. Indeed, I never became a professional ice skater, but I’ve never actually dreamt of that anyway. But it was the relaxedness that I used to admire in him. He was calm, at ease. I think I did acquire that for myself.

It’s almost Valentine’s Day and I need some inspiration. What is your idea of an ideal or most romantic date?
At a good restaurant, with a nice glass of wine. Spoil the taste buds.
Where? Let’s say Rome. At the very least somewhere in Italy.
